About This Spot

Stepping into Elysee Bakery & Cafe feels like finding a quiet corner of Paris tucked into the heart of Los Angeles. This is a spot where the pace slows just enough to savor the little moments - the gentle hum of conversation, the warm scent of fresh pastries, and the steady clink of coffee cups. It’s not rushed or pretentious, but comfortably inviting, a place where neighbors and visitors alike settle in for a thoughtful break from the city’s flux.

The atmosphere carries a friendly buzz, shaped by small groups sharing weekend brunches or individuals enjoying a quiet morning espresso. Seating fills up steadily during the day, making it a welcoming but intimate neighborhood nook. The blend of a classic French bakery with the casual ease of a diner creates a warmth that resonates beyond its cozy interior, where soft natural light and wooden accents encourage lingering.

Here, coffee is more than a pick-me-up - it’s a moment to appreciate. Aromatic cappuccinos and rich espressos unfold alongside delicate pastries that invite curiosity, like a flaky fruit tart or a tender almond cake. The menu crosses between comforting breakfast staples and light, thoughtfully composed lunches, offering everything from a perfectly balanced eggs Benedict to salads brimming with fresh ingredients. Whether you’re craving a sweet finish or a savory bite, there's an approachable balance in each offering.

What stands out most is how the space fosters genuine connection - between friends catching up over a shared dessert, someone diving into a book alongside a steaming cup of coffee, or a quick weekday brunch that still feels special. The team’s attentive service adds to this relaxed, welcoming spirit, making Elysee a spot you return to not just for the food, but for the feeling it stirs: a small, steady joy in everyday moments.

Great place for coffee and dessert. Can get busy and seating is a bit tight . Parking can be challenging but it's manageable. If you are stuck on the 405 and have some time to spare or would rather do something else besides just sit in traffic this is a great spot.

Atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. Places to sit i went during lunch and the food was good. I had the grilled veggies salad with bread and butter. The display of cookies and pastries made you feel like trying every one of them. The different types of salads and sandwiches gave me a feeling of im in the right place for a vegetarian meal too. Service was good

Great balance of sweetness in both the Tiramisu and Napoleon. The Napoleon stood out for its generous size and perfect crunch. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try other pastries.

Having lived in Westwood for a few years now, Elysee is one of my favorite spots here. Their Hot Mocha is my favorite of all the coffee shops I've had. Aside from their delicious cafe and bakery options, they also have salads, sandwiches, and pasta. The staff is always so kind, and the interior hosts a lot of seating. Additionally, they have oat milk as an alternative, which I love, and they have wifi and a few outlets, which is optimal for students. My favorite thing of all is Their hours. They don't close early like every other cafe in town, and they also have delicious food to accompany their ambiance. I like going here to study, eat, coffee, read, etc. Lovely place. june 19, 2025: The staff is so kind, I come here frequently and they're always so warm and welcoming. They recently added Gelato? the mango is absolutely delicious.

Excellent ambiance and service. Stopped by for a quick weekday brunch and our group thought the portions were great, well cooked, and appreciated the side items as well! Bakery items (cinnamon bun, cookies, muffin) were all tasty and fresh. Would recommend.

We tried at least eight different ice cream flavors and all of them were incredibly delicious. It was hard to choose a favorite. The two ladies who helped us were very friendly and cheerful, thank you to them. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves ice cream and happens to be

Great vibes, delicious pastries and cakes, solid coffee with a pleasant environment for breakfast or lunch. Expect to pay a premium, but most agree the atmosphere and quality make it worth an occasional splurge.
